Getting help

Your mental health is just as important as your physical health. If you need help urgently please seek it, you will not be wasting anyone's time. If it is an emergency call 999 or go to A&E. If you need help urgently but it is not an emergency, you can get help from NHS 111 online or call 111.

The NHS urgent mental health helpline for Greater Manchester can be reached on 0800 051 3253

This helpline is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will be able to speak to a professional and discuss your current needs and provide access to further support if required. These calls are free.

If you would prefer to text, please text the word "SHOUT" to 85258. These texts are free and a volunteer will contact you for an anonymous text conversation. This service is not part of the NHS but it is free, confidential mental health support run 24/7 by the charity Mental Health Innovations.
