Run through our college Chaplin, Rebecca Donnellan, the college has a LBGTQ+ student group that meet every two week at Parsons Walk. Alongside the Bi-weekly meetings, there is also a Teams group that all students who wish to join. For extra information please see message Rebecca Donnellan on Teams.

Proud Trust

The latest news and info for young LGBTQ people. Advice on coming out and advice for adults if a young person chooses to come out to you. Also some useful info about how to stay safe online and some things to think about if you’re questioning whether you’re gay or straight. Previously called LGBT Youth North West.


Like Childline, you can talk to the Samaritans about any worries or concerns you might have. They are there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Advice and support on sex, relationships, contraception, condoms, STIs. Based in The Galleries in Wigan and Leigh Health Centre.


Stonewall is a national campaigning and lobbying charity for the rights of LGBT people. They provide support and resources to help others do the same.
