Reports

There are a number of different types of reports including government reports, technical reports, and research reports.

Reports often have a group author, and often, the author name is the same as the publisher.  Where the publisher is the same as the author then omit the publisher element in your reference.

  • The author(s) Surname followed by the initial/s
  • Title of the report.
  • [Online]
  • Place of Publication
  • Publisher of the report (the abbreviated name of company or institution that published the report)
  • Date that the report was published
  • Report N0. (if available)
  • URL of the report if available online

Note: When a division or other subsidiary part of a publisher appears in the publication, enter the publisher name first. For example: Harvard Medical School, Department of Genetics.
