  • Use the most precise date that is available from the website.

This may be;

  • Year only
  • Year and a month
  • Year, month and day

  • Italicise the title of the webpage.

  • If the author of the webpage is the same as the publisher (Typical examples: NHS, BBC) then, to avoid repetition,  omit the publisher in your full reference.

  • If the information presented on the webpage is updated on an ongoing basis (i.e. it changes from time to time), then include a retrieval date in your full reference.
