Books / eBooks - Introduction

undefinedIf you wish to reference an electronic/online copy of a book that is identical in content, layout, publication details and pagination as the printed copy, then you may simply reference it in exactly the same way as you would reference a printed copy - there is no need to make any distinction.

A reference for a book generally require the following pieces of information:

  • Author(s) / editor(s)
  • Year of publication                              (in rounded brackets)
  • Title of the book                                  (in italics)
  • Edition                                                 (if not the first)
  • Place of publication: Name of publisher
  • Series and volume number                 (where relevant)
