You should check with your tutors before referencing notes that your tutors have provided as it may not be allowed. It is normally more acceptable to reference sources of information that have been properly published

Notes that have been proved by your tutor and accessed via the VLE generally required the following elements:

 

  • Author or tutor
  • Year of distribution  (in round brackets)
  • Title of the item (in single quotation marks)
  • Module code : module title (in italics)
  • Available at : URL of the VLE
  • (Accessed : date)
