Whether you are a n
ew or returning student or staff member, the Learning Resources team would like to offer you a very warm welcome to the college.
The LR Team manage and operate three Learning Resource Centres (LRCs), each of which provides a library service, IT facilities and a supervised learning environment.
The team members are experienced and friendly, and will be pleased to help you to find information or use the facilities and resources whenever you visit one of the Centres.
If you wish, you may book a one-to-one informal training session with a member of the team to cover a specific resource or service provision. For example; How to use the Library Catalogue, Access Online Books, Reference Your Work etc.
Please feel free to make use of any of the three LR Centres.
Help & Support
The Learning Resources team are keen to ensure that our learners are fully aware of the key resources that are available, and that our learners have the required knowledge and skills to make full use of them.
The LR team have a very flexible and proactive approach to providing learner support and are always willing to consider new ideas, or requests from learners and tutors to help us to better meet the current needs.
All of the guides that we produce in viewable or printable format are available via this LibGuide platform.
Of course, staff are readily on hand within the LR Centres to provide immediate support to individuals on an ad-hoc basis - simply ask at the help desk.
Individuals may pre-book a support session with a member of the LR team to cover key research or study skills such as Accessing eBooks & eDatabases, Referencing and Essential IT Skills. Bookings may be made in person at any LR Help Desk or by using the online service booking system.
