Software Applications
A wide range of general software applications have been installed onto the computer network and are available for you to access from any of the Windows PCs in the LR Centres.
Some of the more specialised applications have been installed onto a limited number of PCs - these are clearly identified on the MyPC computer booking program.
Microsoft Office
The Microsoft Office suite is a popular and professional group of software applications that are regularly used by our learners and staff. For example, Word (for word-processing, Excel (spreadsheets) and PowerPoint (presentations).
As a student of Wigan & Leigh College, Microsoft Office is available to you in three key formats. These are:
- MS Office 2016
- MS Office 365
- MS Office for the Web
The college provides you with a free Office 365 account which enables you to download and install the 365 suite onto your personal computer / device free of charge.
