The Learning Resources Guide: Additional Learning Support

Additional Learner Support

Additional Learner Support

The College has a professional and dedicated Additional Learning Support Team.

The ALS Team can provide initial assessments and individually tailored support both in, and out of the classroom.

The team can help with things such as note taking, organisational skills, reinforcing the tutor’s instruction, adapting materials, mobility issues and personal care needs.

Specialist equipment and software is available for students to borrow.  The ALS team can assess an individual’s requirements for ‘enabling technology’.

The Additional Learning Support Team work with curriculum teaching staff to support an individual’s learning, organise access arrangements for examinations and assignments,  and help an individual to apply for Disabled Student’s Allowance (Higher Education).
